WILD WEDNESDAYS! AT RAGLE RANCH REGIONAL PARK

By Sonoma County Parks (other events)

3 Dates Through Nov 25, 2020

ABOUT ABOUT

Too many screens? Does your 7-11 year old student need to get outside and explore? Wild Wednesdays! is a four-week science, literacy, and art program designed to connect your student to their local park while they practice being a scientist and discovering the world around them. Each day of the session will be focused on a central theme students will answer through hands-on nature exploration, observation, measurement, writing exercises, craft projects, and team-building games. All activities will be added into a nature journal students will take home on the last day.

Wild Wednesdays! is being delivered in compliance with the Center for Disease Control camp guidelines as well as current County of Sonoma health orders. We are limiting Wild Wednesdays numbers to just twelve students for each 4-week session. We are also implementing enhanced cleaning processes, personally assigned "nature exploration kits", and other protocol recommended to promote the wellbeing of our students and staff. Students will be asked to bring and wear a mask, bring their own full water bottles, lunch and snacks, and social distance during our activities. Students' temperatures will be taken upon drop off each week. Families will be provided a full list of steps we are taking as well as drop off and pick up procedures.

Wild Wednesdays will be held from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm for four consecutive Wednesdays rain or shine. Please note that all three sessions repeat activities so families are allowed to sign up for only one session per location.

Session 1: Wednesdays, September 9, 16, 23, & 30

Session 2: Wednesdays, October 7,14, 21, & 28
