Learn about water safety at lifeguarded swimming areas with demonstrations and a water safety education talk from Sonoma County Regional Parks’ lifeguards. Participants will become familiar with life jacket use through socially distanced activities. After the demonstration, safety education talk and activity, participants will receive a coupon for $15 swimming lessons at Santa Rosa City Pools. El programa Vamos a Nadar / Let's Go Swimming ofrece lecciones de natación de verano para niños y capacitación sobre seguridad en el agua para padres en español e inglés. Las familias reciben vales para dos semanas de lecciones de natación a precio reducido en piscinas locales y aprenden la importancia de la conciencia sobre el agua y cómo la natación puede ser parte de un estilo de vida activo.
Due to COVID restrictions there will be limited space available and we will be closely following health order protocols. Please bring and wear your face mask, practice social distancing and bring your own water and snacks. We recommend participants dress in layers and bring a hat, and sunscreen. Heavy rain cancels but most programs are rain or shine. Accommodations will be made for visitors with disabilities upon advance request. Parking $7 or free for Regional Parks members.
