ABOUT ABOUT

Who lived here before us? What influences have past practices had on our current landscapes? Culture is alive, thriving and ever changing. Join us in exploring the cultural history of Doran Beach and Bodega Bay as we begin to unravel what the landscape looked like prior to becoming a park. Come out for a morning of history and learn about the Spanish settlement, mixing of cultures and Sonoma County’s long standing ranching roots. Registration is required for this free event. For more information, contact Kristina Stanton at [email protected].

Please bring your own water and snacks. We recommend participants dress in layers and bring a hat, and sunscreen. Most programs will happen rain or shine, but will be cancelled during heavy rains, heavy smoke, or extreme temperatures. Kayaking programs are weather and wind dependent. Accommodations will be made for visitors with disabilities upon advance request. Parking $7 or free for Regional Parks members.
