STORIES OF THE LAND: DORAN BEACH PARK

By Sonoma County Parks (other events)

2 Dates Through Jan 16, 2021

ABOUT ABOUT

Join us in exploring your local park’s cultural history as we begin to unravel what the landscape looked like prior to becoming a park. Learn the park history on a leisurely stroll around the southern end of Doran Regional Park. We’ll be learning about the Spanish settlement in Bodega Bay, the mixing of cultures along the coast and the various cultural and political influences that changed the landscape of this park.  Please bring your own folding chair, layers for changing weather and your own water. Hablamos español!

Due to COVID restrictions there will be limited space available and we will be closely following health order protocols. Please bring and wear your face mask, practice social distancing and bring your own water and snacks. We recommend participants dress in layers and bring a hat, and sunscreen.  Heavy rain cancels but most programs are rain or shine. Accommodations will be made for visitors with disabilities upon advance request. Parking $7 or free for Regional Parks members.
