ABOUT ABOUT

Let's explore the river! Many critters live in the Russian River and winter is a special time to discover the animals that rely on this important waterway. We will use our observation skills to learn about life in the river, and what it can tell us about the health of the river.

Eager to enjoy the outdoors with your little ones in a new way? On this half-day program, we will provide a fun and educational morning for children ages 4-6 and their families. We’ll engage in exploratory walkabouts in the park, hands-on learning, nature-based games, and unique crafts to take home. Sign up for one or more! The cost is $15 per family (up to 4 people per family) in county, $17 out of county and registration is required for each session. For more information, contact Stefanie Landman at [email protected].

Please bring your own water and snacks. We recommend participants dress in layers and bring a hat, and sunscreen. Most programs will happen rain or shine, but will be cancelled during heavy rains, heavy smoke, or extreme temperatures. Kayaking programs are weather and wind dependent. Accommodations will be made for visitors with disabilities upon advance request. Parking $7 or free for Regional Parks members.
