ABOUT ABOUT

Sonoma County Regional Parks Life Guards in Training (LGIT) program is a volunteer work experience opportunity for teens 13 and older. Participants will meet new friends and gain valuable work experience, especially if they are interested in becoming open-water lifeguards for Regional Parks.

Duties: Assist Regional Parks’ lifeguards in leading activities at summer camps, act as role models for the Junior Lifeguard campers, enforce health and safety regulations, help maintain camp equipment, and maintain a kind, supportive, responsible, professional and fun attitude.

Requirements: Must be at least 13 years of age by June 16, 2018; no exceptions. LGIT’s must have previously participated in the camp they wish to work for. They must attend training sessions and commit to attending two full camps. (This means the entirety of the camp.) Qualified applicants will be interviewed by phone.

Cost: $200 registration/materials fee, which covers all camps the LGIT may participate in.

Applications: Due by 5 p.m., April 20, 2018
