ABOUT ABOUT

What thrives in a redwood forest? What creatures live in this shaded, temperate rainforest? Come and learn about redwood ecology as we hike up to the historic Stillwater Cove schoolhouse. This family friendly hike will show the natural world that thrives under the canopy of some of the tallest trees in the world. Registration is required for this free event. For more information, contact Kristina Stanton at [email protected].

Please bring your own water and snacks. We recommend participants dress in layers and bring a hat, and sunscreen. Most programs will happen rain or shine, but will be cancelled during heavy rains, heavy smoke, or extreme temperatures. Kayaking programs are weather and wind dependent. Accommodations will be made for visitors with disabilities upon advance request. Parking $7 or free for Regional Parks members.
