This workshop is a great introduction to outdoor navigation and orienteering! You will understand how to read a map, the proper use of a compass, and how to put the two together. You'll practice reading the landscape and taking a bearing from the terrain and your map so that you can make sense of your position and safely plan a route. Due to COVID restrictions there will be limited space available and we will be closely following health order protocols. Please bring and wear your face mask, practice social distancing and bring your own water and snacks. We recommend participants dress in layers and bring a hat, and sunscreen. Heavy rain cancels but most programs are rain or shine. Accommodations will be made for visitors with disabilities upon advance request. Parking $7 or free for Regional Parks members.
