CARRINGTON RANCH PARK PREVIEW

By Sonoma County Parks (other events)

21 Dates Through Jan 22, 2022

ABOUT ABOUT

Take in sweeping views of the Sonoma Coast from these 335 rolling acres recently transferred to Regional Parks from Sonoma County Ag + Open Space. This property, known as Carrington Coast Ranch, will eventually open to the public as a regional park and open space preserve just north of Bodega Bay and Salmon Creek. On park preview days, the public is invited to enjoy a self-guided hike on the property and learn more about the master planning process that will result in the park’s permanent opening. At that time, the park will provide a critical segment of the 1,200-mile California Coastal Trail and link to public lands to the north and south.

Due to limited parking, a passenger shuttle will transport you from the Bodega Bay Community Center at scheduled departure times. Parks staff and volunteers will be available to answer questions before and after your self-guided exploration. Current health protocols will be followed. Onsite private vehicle accommodations can be arranged in advance for visitors with Disabled Person placards or license plates.

Registration is required for this event $5 per person in county and $7 out of county. For more information, contact John Ryan at [email protected].
