BIRDING 101: IDENTIFICATION TIPS AND TOOLS

By Sonoma County Parks (other events)

2 Dates Through Mar 13, 2021

ABOUT ABOUT

Designed for new birders and beginners, these workshops will help you develop your bird-watching skills while learning more about our feathered friends and their world. Join for one workshop, or come to all!

Identification Tips and Tools: Plumage, field marks, songs and calls... there are lots of different ways to figure out who's who. We will get back to basics, practice, and discover some useful tools (that aren't books!) for when you're stuck.

We’ll meet for a brief, socially distanced introduction, workshop and have time for you to explore the trail on your own. Binoculars will be available to borrow and all ages are welcome.

Parking is $7 or free for Regional Parks members.

Due to COVID restrictions, there will be limited space available and we will be closely following health order protocols. Please bring and wear your face covering, practice social distancing and bring your own water and snacks. We recommend that you dress in layers and bring a hat and sunscreen. Most programs will happen rain or shine, but will be cancelled during heavy rains. Accommodations will be made for visitors with disabilities with advance notice. Parking $7 or free for Regional Parks members.
