Calling all kids! Join this three-week science, literacy, and art program designed to connect students from ages 7 to 12 to their local park while they practice being a scientist and discovering the world around them. Each session will be focused on a central theme students will answer through hands-on nature exploration, observation, measurement, journal exercises, craft projects, and team building games. Students may participate in more than one session at the same location since themes change each month.

Fee: $140 discounts available

Wednesdays, March 10, 17, 24 from 1:30-5:00PM, & Friday, March 12, 19, 26 3:00-5:00PM

 

Session 2

Navigating Your Senses

Wednesdays, April 7, 14, 21 • 1:30-5 p.m., & Fridays, April 9, 16, 23 • 3-5 p.m.

 

Session 3

Thinking like an Animal

Wednesdays, May 5, 12, 19 • 1:30-5 p.m., & Fridays, May 7, 14, 21 • 3-5 p.m.

*Please note that any requested changes, such as changing month and/or park, will require cancelling the current registration and re-registering for the desired session.

Due to COVID restrictions, there will be limited space available and we will be closely following health order protocols. Please bring and wear your face covering, practice social distancing and bring your own water and snacks. We recommend that you dress in layers and bring a hat and sunscreen. Most programs will happen rain or shine, but will be cancelled during heavy rains. Accommodations will be made for visitors with disabilities with advance notice. Parking $7 or free for Regional Parks members.
