ABOUT ABOUT

Get a sneak peak of the future Mark West Creek Regional Park & Preserve by volunteering to help us prepare a new trail on Saturday, June 15. We're prepping to host monthly public preview days on the property northeast of Santa Rosa, but first we need to improve some of the trail access. That's where you come in. We're looking for hardy volunteers to help us groom a new connector trail. No special experience is needed, but this will require some moderately strenuous exercise. The payoff is you get a unique glimpse at this property and what it takes to provide initial public access to a future park. Registration is required, and after you sign up, we will provide the property address and driving directions.

We'll provide the tools, training, snacks and water. Volunteers should wear long pants, sturdy shoes and bring a hat and sunscreen. Volunteers should be at least 14 years old. For more information, please contact Regional Parks Volunteer Coordinator John Ryan at [email protected].

Note: We will try to prevent your contact with poison oak, but you might have some exposure to the plant.
