Shellfish are an important link to Bodega Bay’s fishing industry and play vital roles in the marine food web and ecosystem. Learn about these gastropods, the history of clamming in Bodega Bay, dig some up for yourself, and stay for a clam centered meal! We’ll be making a delicious clam chowder using the clams that we collect. Clamming materials will be provided. One day fishing license for clamming is required for folks over the age of 16. Please dress in layers, wear rain boots and/or proper attire to walk in the marsh.
