Join California Native Plant Society (CNPS) volunteers and park staff as we remove invasive ice plant . Ice plant is a coastal shrub native to South Africa. It forms a large, thick mat that chokes out all other native plants and alters the soil composition of the environment. Removing ice plant allows native, endangered plants to repopulate the area. All ages are welcome. Regional Parks will provide gloves, tools, snacks and drinks. Volunteers should dress in layers, wear sturdy shoes and bring sunscreen and a hat. Heavy rains will cancel.
